Guillermo Yrizar Barbosa is a research associate at El Colegio de la Frontera Norte and the Observatory on Immigration Legislation and Policy in Tijuana. He is PhD candidate in sociology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and was research fellow at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies at UC San Diego. He was also a student fellow at the CUNY Institute for Demographic Research and collaborates in the Mexican Initiative for Deferred Action at Baruch College.
